Snow pictures
Finally the weatherman got it right! We got approximately 8 inches of snow. The last time we got this much snow was 1989. We just don't get measurable snow around here. I live very close to the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean which keeps the temperature too warm for the white stuff.
Buddy and Sandy had never seen snow and loved it. I bet they sleep good tonight and may be sore tomorrow.
Here are some pictures:

Thanks for looking.

Since 1989?
All of you must be loving it!
I bet Buddy and Sandy were dreaming about playing in it again today!

Re: Snow pictures
Buddy and Sandy (and even the cat) love going out in the snow. Sandy loves ice so she especially loves the snow. They both have been sleeping really well at night from playing during the day.
The neighborhood kids have been loving it too. Our daughter is 16 says she doesn't remember ever seeing this much snow. We have had an inch or two in the past but nothing like this. Everything is closed again today. No school and I am off from work. The streets are just too icy. We just don't have enough resources to plow and salt/sand the streets. They did the major roads yesterday and are supposed to work on the secondary roads today. Who knows about the neighborhood streets. The kids may not go back tomorrow either.

Re: Snow pictures
My dogs are forgetting what snow is all about. There hasn't been more than a dusting here all winter. Haven't had to pick up the snow shovel once which thrills me to bits!!

I would like some more here, too. The groundhog does say 6 more weeks of winter, we all could have more snow.

Personally, I think we should BBQ that damn rodent.

Re: Snow pictures
Thanks for posting the snow photos.

It looks as though Buddy and Sandy are getting as much fun as possible out of the snow. For that matter, it sounds like your whole family is enjoying it. I love snow because it is an event, slow down life, and makes you focus a little more on your family.

We southerners are quite happy with snow. I guess Mother Nature has turned to people who appreciate her good works.

Oh, I can appreciate a good snowfall...don't get me wrong, but 59 inches over a week....yeah...that's a bit much. And unfortunatley, people in this neck of the woods DON'T slow down with that much snow....not 1 snow day or even a delay, I still had to be to work on time and all that jazz....its beautiful and I love to watch it fall, its the shoveling and snowblowing that gets to me after a while
