If he had just scrambled for 5 measly yards (that were there for the taking), and with Longwell being one of the best kickers in the league, the game was all but won. It was a good game, but since they beat the Cowboys - and did some unclassy things at the end - I wanted the Vikings to lose anyway.
I think if he had a choice, he would have retired after the first quarter.  He was getting pounded.
