Just a LITTLE bit of snow
So we all know about the snowfall in the Mid-Atlantic. Well we got pounded. We got about 23". And to make matters worse, the roads are insane. The news channels around here talked about how they were going to get ahead of the storm and treat the roads....well they are a hot choppy icy mess. It feels like you are on a mix of rumble strips lined by bumpers. With another storm a brewing, my butt is staying home tomorrow. I learned from my 2 1/2 hr (normally 35 min) commute today.

Anywho Charlie loves it! And as long as I am not driving in it, I love it too.

Here's a few pics from Sat I took with my phone.

It took us forever to clear the driveway. Our parents came and helped.

Another of the back yard. Check out Charlie's maze she created. I runs the whole parameter of the back yard.

Charlie....She's a special dog. Notice the ladder. It ended up just staying there because our satellite kept catching the snow.

After sitting on Carson St (which is right by my work) this morning for over an hr, I decided to take a picture of the traffic and the road. Both a mess.

There's a little taste of what's been going on in Pittsburgh! They are predicting about 10 more inches tomorrow.

We only have about 2 feet which is nothing for here.
Looks like we might miss this new storm also.
It' beautiful and the dogs do love it.
Of course they don't have to drive in it.
Enjoy your day off playing with Charlie in the snow!

Thanks I will! We haven't seen this much snow since 1993 so it's like we forgot how to function with it. It's funny because places like where you live get this all the time and like you said its NOTHING! I'm glad I got a work at home day out of it.

Hope everyone is having a good morning!

Welcome to my world darlin'!
Its amazing how much the dogs LOVE the stuff, isn't it?!
I do have to say that in my neck of the woods, we are a bit more skilled in our snow removal....so sorry you had to suffer thru that! Its hard, that's for sure....but if you don't have to go anywhere...its GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!

And here I am whining about the couple of inches that we are expecting tonight and tomorrow. I'm ashamed.

Stay home whenever you can and be careful when you can't. It's not you that you have to worry about, it's the other guy.

Happy Snow Day(s)!!

Re: Just a LITTLE bit of snow
Great snow and great snow pictures! Sorry about your long commute, but at least you get to stay put the next day. My dogs would be so happy with that amount of snow. Tell Charlie the burden is on her to have as much fun as possible for all those unfortunate southern labs.

Thanks for sharing. I never get tired of looking at snow pictures.

Re: Just a LITTLE bit of snow
That is NUTS! I think snow like that must hit the Mid-Atlantic every few years. When I lived in Maryland, we got hit like that one year. I couldn't even see my car. Snow banks were taller than me and you couldn't see around them when driving. I moved to Florida not too long after that. Stay safe and warm!
