I FINALLY went over the edge at work today and called my boss a bitch, and promptly got fired for insubordination. OOPS! I couldn't stop it, once it was on my lips it just slipped out. Me and my mouth.

Well, maybe it's time for me to go to school and become a nurse. This might be a good thing.

ETA: But DAMN it felt good to say it to her face!

I'm sorry you got fired, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.

I said almost the same thing when I was working for this law firm before my present job. The woman attorney was poking me in the face with her finger and I just lost it.

I didn't call her a bitch, but I said I was never "answering to her again". I'm not going to answer your phone calls, I'm not answering your emails, I'm not working for you and I'm definitely not going to stand in this kitchen and take in the face ever again".

For some really unbelievably, strange reason, I didn't get fired. But fortunately, I found the job I'm at now a few months later.

I thought for sure I was toast. And I didn't care. Way too much stress. You'll figure out your future better with a clear head. Quote:

I have had a couple of bosses like that in my past, so I KNOW how good it feels to finally be able to tell them to go pound sand.

Look at it this way.......you were looking for a job when you found that one, so, NO BIG DEAL!!

While there is a recession going on, you have medical experience and there are still jobs in the medical field.
You won't be out of work for long and going back for nursing is a great idea!
