What are you reading these days? I'm about 3/4 of the way thru Stephen King's Under the Dome. I keep getting annoyed with the characters so it's taking me a long time. I put it down and leave it for a while. Then go back until I get annoyed all over again. ( That's why I don't read a lot of Dean Koontz....He writes some REALLY stupid characters)
I'm also reading a JD Robb book. JDR is Nora Roberts pen name when she writes a futuristic police series. The same main cast of characters which I like...you get to "know" them. Entertaining. I'll prolly re-read Eclipse just before the movie comes out.

Re: What are you reading these days? Sigh, I haven't been reading much.
I quit buying books (budget cut) and since I'm not technically a MO resident I can't get a library card.

Re: What are you reading these days? I am pretty engrossed in the Lee Childs Jack Reacher series. Go pick up Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Childs. Nice thing with the series is you can start anywhere. That one is my favorite so far I think.

Re: What are you reading these days? I own a kindle because here in Canada books are stupid prices so with the kindle I get to read hundreds of books for free or for example Under the Doom for $7.99. I just finished reading 1,000 White Woman: Diary of Mary Dodd. What a great book. Fictional and set in the 1800's. The Natives made a deal with the government to try and bring peace buy trading 1000 white women for a 1000 horses. The government even back then screwed people because they only sent a handful of women and they were all from the mental assylum or prisons. I'm doing the book an injustice because to see how these very different lives mesh and become one is amazing. Totally worth the read.

Re: What are you reading these days? I just finished reading "Big Girl" by Danielle Steel. It was pretty good--very easy to read.

Re: What are you reading these days? Judi,
Under the Dome took a while, but it is good, of course I'm a Stephen King fan . Which JD Robb book is it? I just started a new one last night, Fantasy in Death.

This one is called Big Jack. It's the first that hasn't been called "_ _ _ _ _ _ in Death" I've read all of them I think so far. All in paperback that is. LOL I like King too but thought that like so many other prolific writers. some of his stories lately have been sub par. Under the Dome seems to be more like his earlier work. I hope to have it finished by next week.

Re: What are you reading these days? That one's not out here yet, I just finished "Hot Rocks" the one that leads to Big Jack. Let me know how it is.
Stephen King goes into such detail in the beginning, but it all ties together, but I agree, the last few weren't his best, but I did take Dumas Key when we did our Panama Canal cruise, it was pretty good.

Kori, it looks like Hot Rocks and Big Jack have been published before in a book called Remember When. I don't think I've ever seen Remember When around here on the book shelves.
