It's a BOY!!!

I had my u/s today and found out the I am 18 weeks 5 days along... and we are most definetely having a boy. This little guy was not shy about showing us what he's got!

I am due Nov 10th which gives us some time... but finding out we're having a boy is great because we have all Ben's clothes (minus a box or two I passed onto a friend) and all our toys are boy themed so this lil one can use all of those too.

It's always amazing to have an u/s and see your lil baby bouncing around in your belly. Ben was a thumb sucker during u/s and this lil guy is all about grabbing his feet, flipping all over the place.

Now that we have a date & know what we're having, we should probably tell our families... I've avoided my mom because I do have a belly starting (small but noticable) and she will not hesitate to ask if she notices... so we gotta tell them so I can stop hiding from them!

I just had to share - cuz I'm excited! Jim's still warming up to the idea of another lil one... he wasn't sure he wanted kids when we had Ben and now to have 2, it'll take a bit for him to get excited... maybe when the baby's born!

well thank God for small miracles, that you are having another boy!!! did you get the 3D ultrasound?
can't wait to her what your mom says, if she is anything like, oh my...........

They did the 4D ultrasound but at 18 weeks it's not as defined as most are. So they'll do anonther 4D at 26 weeks so I get more of a look at his facial features.

I'm not worried about my mom - she takes everything in stride.... even though she's very religious and sex before marriage or living together before marriage is a huge no-no... she's not terrible about things.

Now Jim's mom... she's a whole other story! lol

Congrats on the boy! I have to admit that I'm jealous that you know already! We don't get another ultra sound until July 8, which is when we should find out what these little babies are! I'm sure I'm showing A LOT more than you are already. There is no hiding this belly! But then again, I have twice the baby!

So glad that you are excited and I have to agree that the ultrasounds and seeing them move around in there IS AMAZING!

We are due Nov 20, but I would bet that we'll beat you to delivery with twins! I'm about a week behind you (17 weeks 4 days), but twins usually deliver 3-4 weeks early on average.

Congrats again! So excited for you!

Any food cravings yet? I could live off of ice cream and pizza right now. I think the ice cream because I am already hot ALL THE TIME! I'm not sure on the pizza thing, but I could eat it for all three meals right now!

With Ben - I had an u/s at 10 weeks to confirm due date because their portable u/s machine didn't pick up much of anything so I had to have a regular u/s done to get all the measurements. But then I didn't get another u/s until 20 weeks when I found out he was a boy and after that I got nothing more. I'm pretty excited that I got an u/s now and then I'll get one at 26 weeks and get a good 4D shot of his face because I never got a 4D one with Ben.

I have no consistant food cravings...for a week I just wanted bread & butter pickles but that was about it. In the mornings I have to force myself to eat and the smell of food makes me sick. Which makes it hard to feed Ben a good breakfast & lunch - but I plug my nose and start cookking! lol And at night I just end up eating everything I can because I'm so hungry from not eating half the day. Am hoping the morning sickness will subside pretty soon... but doubt it because I was sick the entire time with Ben.

And I can't eat pizza... I really want some, but it makes me sick. So eat some for me, please

Congratulations to the mom's and the babies being born in November!!!.. May I add one to the mix?.. Nah. I'm too old to have babies, but my eldest daughter is expecting our first granddaughter on or about November 8th...

Because our daughter is 35, they have done several ultrasounds thus far to be sure everything is ok....and the 3D ultrasound will be in August--so hubby and I will get to go along and see our granddaughter.

Our other two daughters have boys--so this is exciting to finally bring some pink and some babydolls into the mix of Power Rangers, Transformers, and other rough and tumble things my grandsons love!!
