I invited my father and step-mother out for brunch tomorrow and it's turned into a nightmare. I was asked if I invited my brothers (apparently they don't have any brains and I'm suppose to think for them).

I did invite them = left voice mails and no one one has answered me. Dad seems disappointed already because, apparently, I didn't call them soon enough (let me re-phrase that, his new bride doesn't like it and she is on a very tight schedule).

All I wanted to do is spend a few hours with my dad and now it's turned into a bummer.

I miss my mom.

Try not to let other people's expectations spoil things for you Sharon. You're heart was in the right place and you can't be held responsible for your brother's decisions and actions. Maybe they'll take the initiative and make some plans of their own with your day.

Sharon, I am sorry that your dad, or Dot put that kind of pressure on you. Your dad, especially, knows how your brother's are, if they really had their act together they would have called you a few weeks ago to help plan something. Just enjoy your dad today, and hug him tight! Give Dot a hug too, she probably needs one. LOL

We ended up having a great brunch. We went to the place where they had their wedding reception. The food was awesome and I was stuffed to the gills! So all went well and now I'm thinking about a nap. lol.
